MIND MAPS

"Analogy of Inner States" 2017

"Analogy of Inner States" is a series of three large-scale maps that chronicle a deeply personal exploration of the body’s fragility and resilience. Confronted by an acute awareness of mortality, I devised a coded experiment to visually translate the physical and emotional toll of self-imposed ailments. Through layers of overlapping lines and stark, monochromatic fields, the maps reflect the passage of sleepless hours and the unraveling of consciousness. The result is a visceral and intricate portrayal of a breakdown—organic, chaotic, and meticulously rendered—a reflection of the tensions between control and surrender, life and death.
